Overview

The primary responsibilities of the Training Content Developer is to develop Consultant’s ability to sell, recruit, and retain new team members by creating and delivering relevant, compelling, and effective training content.  This position will support content creation for multiple learning modalities (instructor-led, webinars, video, etc.), but will be primarily focused on online content creation.

Responsibilities

  • Assess efficacy of current and new training programs
  • Ensure reach of all training to targeted audiences
  • Develop online learning deliverables (e.g., courses, games, shorts, videos, assessments, etc.)
  • Ensure reach of all training to targeted audiences
  • Determine appropriate authoring, design, and media tools for learning objectives
  • Collaborate with team members and subject matter experts to create storyboards, course outlines
  • Create and deliver training per direction from Director of Consultant Development
  • Leverage most effective training delivery to reach desired audiences and monitor effectiveness
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure training is shared across global markets
  • Design and deliver training using various training modalities including, but not limited to: webcasts, on-line, video and via other broad reach vehicles using sound adult learning principles
  • Evaluate training effectiveness based on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Perform all other assigned tasks and requirements as needed

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

 

  • Expertise in authoring tools to build eLearning courses and demonstration
  • Experience in audio/narration editing
  • Demonstrated expertise in eLearning instructional design and adult learning theory
  • Proven ability to create, manage, and deliver engaging training across multiple mediums and multiple learning styles
  • Above average copy editing skills
  • Excellent technical and creative writing skills
  • Ability to incorporate sound adult learning principles into curriculum
  • Proven ability to produce development programs on time and on budget and align those programs with a larger strategy
  • Ability to manage individual workload while supporting the work of the team
  • Understanding and prior experience in Direct Selling Industry a plus
  • Ability to create training content for large audiences and events
  • Experience creating, organizing, and managing large events and training sessions
  • Flexible with the ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and current event and classroom training technologies
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, a plus
  • Knowledge of Adobe Captivate or Articulate Storyline a plus
  • Ability to analyze small sets of statistical data to determine needed instructional objectives to guide future content development
  • Ability to work at a computer station and view a computer screen for extended periods of time
  • Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking up to 10% of the time
  • Ability to frequently sit, bend, squat, stand, walk, push and pull, have both arms and legs accessible, and perform manual dexterity
  • Ability to lift 15+ pounds
  • Ability to frequently read and comprehend, write, perform basic mathematic calculations, communicate orally, and reason and analyze

Qualifications

  • 2+ years' experience in online content creation
  • Instructional design experience preferred
  • Prior experience developing facilitator guides and coaching presenters
  • Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, instructional technologies, or related field

Expectations:

  • Ensure all developed training aligns with global business needs
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest on-line, event, and classroom training technologies
  • Adhere to all established procedures, policies, and safety rules as outlined by the Company
  • Work 40 hours per week; some overtime may be required
  • Some travel may be required up to 15% of the time
