Overview

The primary responsibility of the Warehouse Operator is to carefully and efficiently handle, load, and unload inventory.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently handle inventory
  • Load and unload inventory
  • Assist in inventory management and transfer with Wireless Scan equipment
  • Understand and practice First In First Out
  • Perform basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction, etc.)
  • Assist with cycle and year-end inventory counts
  • Provide high service standards replenishing internal shipping pick lines
  • Handle warehouse equipment and machinery
  • Assist with training and workflow management in absence of Warehouse Operator 3
  • Follow detailed instructions
  • Solve straightforward problems and seeks guidance as needed
  • Research, gather and analyze information related to specific assignments.
  • Make decisions within a limited scope
  • Integrate knowledge of basic concepts, principles and theories of area of specialization
  • Apply basic communication and customer service skills
  • Adhere to all established procedures, policies and safety rules as outlined by the Company
  • Perform all other assigned tasks and requirements as needed

Qualifications

  • Expected to work 40 hours per week; some overtime may be required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Clear and direct verbal communication skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all software applications applicable to the position and of all functional areas of the Warehouse
  • Perform basic mathematics calculations
  • Read reports, computer screens, etc.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly on a daily basis
  • Must have working knowledge of computers and all applicable software
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time

Education or Experience Required:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • 0-3 years’ relevant experience
