Scentsy, Inc. is looking for a gifted Product Designer. This is an uber-creative and truly unique opportunity with a global fragrance and home décor company based in Boise, Idaho – identified as one of the best places to live and work for its beautiful surroundings, hip food culture, home-grown music & art scene and year-round outdoor adventure.  

This recognized company is looking for an innovative Product Designer with proven success in decorative hardline categories. Tremendous creative freedom for the right candidate and the pleasure of working at a state-of-the-art green corporate headquarters on an 80-acre campus with miles of walking trails, fully equipped fitness center, and a gourmet dining facility where you can connect with a motivated, supportive and generally awesome group of individuals.



What You Would Do

  • Design seasonal lifestyle products from conception through revisions to approved 3D proof-of-concept
  • Provide a fresh perspective on delivering visually delightful and compelling product experiences
  • Bring innovative lifestyle product concepts to ideation and refine through development process
  • Monitor marketplace trends and then translate into concepts that respond to business needs and resonate with target audience
  • Guide the ideation process and collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure vision and execution alignment as well as successful product launch 
  • Integrate new, creative techniques and processes for unique and exclusive future products
  • Partner directly with manufacturers and Product Development to ensure vision and design are well executed
  • Work with established vendors to integrate new creative techniques and processes for future products



What You Should Have

  • 4 years of hardline product design experience across multiple categories including tabletop, lighting, lifestyle gifts, and/or home décor
  • Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Design, or equivalent experience
  • An up to date Portfolio demonstrating your talent
  • Great sense of humor, a desire to play as hard as you work, and desire to join a dynamic creative community that is passionate about creativity!


Our Ideal Candidate Has

  • A passion for product design, a keen eye for detail, and a great understanding of current design trends
  • The ability to see through the clutter and solve complex design problems with simple and elegant design solutions
  • Experience working with different manufacturing and production methods across glass, ceramics, metal, resins, plastics, and/or wood
  • Experience with “holistic” design – both product and packaging vision
  • The ability to prepare detailed, conceptual drawings (rendered illustrations or digital)
  • Creative, out-of-the-box thinking and strong problem-solving skills
  • An understanding of different manufacturing technology and production methods
  • The ability to be proactive, organized, accurate and demonstrate good follow-through
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to perform calmly under pressure and deadlines
  • The ability to recommend appropriate materials and finishes for products as well as discern color hues
  • Working knowledge of computers and all applicable software including Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Excel, Word, and 3D and CAD experience
