The primary responsibilities of the Senior Manager of Field Development, Leadership, are to lead the development and engagement of Scentsy’s top Consultants: Star Directors (SD) and Super Star Directors (SSD) across Scentsy.


  • Create ongoing business insights and analytics
  • Assess and identify gaps in each leader’s business and team
  • Provide one-on-one coaching, broad scale training, and motivation to help leaders achieve personal and team goals
  • Create strong relationships of trust and respect with the assigned field leaders
  • Research, locate, and work with contract training resources
  • Personally provide training and coaching to consultants
  • Shape global development strategy, programs, incentives, and recognition with the Chief Consultant Engagement Officer and the Director of Field Development
  • Identify curriculum needs and content necessary for advanced leadership
  • Work cross-functionally with International Field Development Managers to align training in all countries
  • Lead regular training and leadership calls
  • Present at corporate events and occasionally at industry events
  • Leverage Social Media effectively and stay abreast of new developments in relation to training, programs, communication, etc.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Help support Ascent Academy
  • Deliver monthly communications on the “State of the Field” to internal stakeholders
  • Ensure that monthly training is conducted effectively by leaders
  • May manage employee by selecting, orientating, training, coaching, counseling, and developing personal growth opportunities for employee
  • May be responsible for supervising employees which includes: experienced talent acquisition, terminating, demoting, performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, and other employee related functions
  • Perform all other assigned tasks and requirements as needed


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8 years of training and leadership experience in the direct selling industry


  • Adhere to all established procedures, policies, and safety rules as outlined by the Company
  • 40 hours per week; some overtime may be required
  • Travel required, up to 50% of the time

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Desire to break training molds and try innovative approaches
  • Proven ability to produce development programs on time and on budget and align those programs with a larger strategy
  • Ability to manage individual workload while supporting the work of the team
  • Ability to incorporate sound adult learning principles into curriculum
  • Ability to present and speak effectively in front of large audiences
  • Ability to develop and distribute relevant reports, dashboards, etc.
  • Ability to balance and incorporate the value of qualitative and quantitative data
  • Demonstrated ability to coach leaders to higher performance
  • Working knowledge of rapid e-Learning software such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate Studio, Articulate Storyline, and/or Camtasia preferred
  • Knowledge of Acrobat Professional, Photoshop, Flash, SnagIt, and InDesign, a plus
  • Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking up to 10% of the time
  • Ability to work at a computer station and view a computer screen for extended periods of time
