Overview

We are looking for a Software Development Engineering in Test (SDET). This person would be responsible for enhancing and maintaining our automated test frameworks and QA processes to ensure the delivery of a quality business application software product. 

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WOULD DO

  • Develop, maintain, execute, and validate test plans/cases to ensure quality software solutions
  • Execute automated testing to generate test metrics and final reports on testing activities
  • Perform end-to-end test planning and execution for new features
  • Develop, write, document, and execute automated system and unit tests, including identifying and tracking issues through resolution
  • Create, design, maintain, and expand infrastructures to support automation
  • Design, code, and implement unit tests, integration tests, and regression tests
  • Create, execute, and maintain test strategies, test plans, test procedures, test scenarios, test cases, test data sets, and test scripts to be used in software testing for manual and automated testing
  • Design and develop performance monitoring plans/tools both for test environments and production environments
  • Responsible for establishing baseline and ongoing key performance indicators (KPIs) relating to lead and lag metrics for functional and non-functional system health, and performs trend analysis on historical data
  • Collaborate with architecture team in the development of load testing frameworks and scripting of simulated scenarios

Qualifications

WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • BS in CS, ITM, technical field or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of QA experience
  • 2+ years of Development experience

  • Involved in activities such as capturing the key outputs, lessons learned, results, logs, documents related to the project are archived and used as a reference for future projects

 

THINGS YOU SHOULD HAVE, KNOW, OR BE ABLE TO DO

  • Experience in development and test automation experience working with a variety of programming languages, test frameworks and tools (Selenium, MSTest/NUnit, Microsoft SQL Server, C#, .NET framework, Javascript)
  • Experience testing web-based enterprise applications
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills
  • Effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel - both written and verbal
  • Working knowledge of industry standards and best practices for qualification strategies
  • Ability to multi-task and stay focused and organized in a dynamic work environment with minimal direction
  • Outstanding organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with little direction while meeting deadlines
  • Strong working knowledge of all of the following quality assurance methods: unit, integration, regression, load and performance, user interface automated testing, black box, white box, grey box, bug tracking systems, test design and execution
  • Understanding of Object Oriented Analysis and Design, web architecture, algorithms, data structures, design patterns
  • Knowledge of techniques for the verification and validation of the quality of products and processes across SDLC
