What You Would Do


Align data access within the organization

  • Align company and positions with access levels for data, applications, systems and services
  • Prioritize the adoption of access control objectives based on risk
  • Collect and analyze current access levels across the network and current data access levels across all users
  • Determine and standardize access responsibilities for all positions
  • Identify exceptions or users with special circumstances
  • Establish access authorization, usage restrictions, and implementation guidance for each allowed access method

Manage account/access lifecycle, integrating industry standard access principles

  • Develop, disseminate, review and maintain formal, documented access control policies, standards, and procedures
  • Delegate method for authorizing, activating, modifying, disabling, and removing accounts
  • Oversees information system account management procedures for individual, group, system, application, guest/anonymous, and temporary accounts.
  • Train authorized individuals to perform access procedures according to allowed access methods
  • Maintain standards for access: identification, authorization, authentication, audits and accountability
  • Perform periodic compliance reviews and reduces access risks through remediation projects

Communicate and collaborate in a team environment

  • Collaborate with IT architects, engineers, technical analysts, software engineers and business users to ensure systems and data have appropriate access controls
  • Communicate, escalate, and ensure timely resolution of access and permission incidents or significant weaknesses


Some Things You Should Know & Be Able to Do

  • Knowledge of access control and administration procedures
  • Knowledge of typical information technology (IT) access control policies and standards (e.g. account creation, password rules, authorization practices, account provisioning)
  • Working knowledge of IT security administration experience including knowledge of access control models (use, advantages and disadvantages)
  • Knowledge of current Identity Management architectures and web application access controls
  • Knowledge of technical authentication accounting mechanisms used in: Active Directory, .Net Framework SDK, and SQL
  • Skilled in conducting and administering complex user access analysis in an Active Directory environment
  • Excellent communication, analytical, facilitation, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in teams and projects
  • Strong business/client engagement skills


Our Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Previous IT security or user administration experience
  • Previous IT risk experience or equivalent experience in another IT analyst role, such as and IT auditor, preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience - Master’s degree preferred
