We are looking for a UX/UI Designer to join our team! This person will develop user interface (UI) concepts, wireframes, prototypes, and design comprehensives (comps) that explain the vision to users, customers, consultants, and business stakeholders in order to deploy innovative, easy to use products, for a wide range of end users.



What You Would Do:

  • Conceptualize ideas that bring simplicity to complex experiences
  • Conduct market and competitor research to stay current with industry trends
  • Collaborate with product management and development teams to create innovative, on brand solutions for product direction, User Experience(UX), and interface
  • Effectively communicate and document user flows, user stories, interactions, and design ideas
  • Develop multiple design options, wireframes, and prototypes to ensure best choice to meet product goals
  • Create final on brand page layouts, UI comps, and document interface guidelines to handoff to the content and development teams
  • Collaborate effectively across the company, throughout the design lifecycle to ensure usability and design quality 
  • Conduct user testing, collect, manage, and evaluate feedback to help shape designs
  • Make strategic and tactical design recommendations based on usability findings and standard design practices
  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards and maintain a style guide for each environment
  • Interpret website visitor behavior data and identify improvements to increase online conversion 





You Should Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Design, or related field
  • 2+ years leading and representing large-scale sites, projects, and redesigns
  • 2+ years in creating and designing and addressing challenging User Experience issues of content, design, and implementation
  • Strong portfolio that demonstrates experience designing major B2C eCommerce and/or B2B websites and brands with examples of innovative UX designs that resulted in significant and measurable improvements

  • Have a willingness and ability to roll up sleeves and do hands-on design work
  • Be able to adhere to all established procedures, policies, and safety rules as outlined by the Company
  • Work 40 hours per week; some overtime and occasional travel may be required


Things You Should Know & Be Able to Do:

  • Expert familiarity with usability design tools and techniques for wireframing, prototyping, card sorting, information architecture, usability testing, contextual inquiry, and task analysis 
  • Experience with wireframing and prototyping tools, i.e. Axure, Balsamiq, or Omnigraffle, etc., Axure most preferred
  • Ability to span from strategic to tactical
  • Solid understanding of information architecture, interaction design, general web-user interface, mobile-responsive environments, and mobile application design standards. If you only have experience in print design and layout or visual design, this is not the right position for you. 
  • Ability to hold onto the big picture while still getting all the necessary details
  • High creativity coupled with ability to make practical trade-offs
  • Ability to articulate and defend interaction design decisions with data, standards or clear understanding of trade-offs, with understanding and accommodation of real-world constraints
  • Strong partnership skills – ability to understand, translate, and move seamlessly between user, business, design and technical stakeholders and gain confidence with each
  • Knowledge of experience maps, workflow diagrams, wireframes, and working wireframe prototypes
  • Knowledge of—but not bound to— use-case and persona development
  • Solid understanding of front-end development, back-end development, and the software development life cycle (no coding required)
  • Expertise in developing and conducting usability test plans, user research, concept testing, and reporting back recommendations to the team
  • Good familiarity with visual design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, Visio, Dreamweaver
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, while communicating effectively to a broad range of technical and non-technical audiences
  • Clear and direct written and verbal communication skills
  • Practical experience working in an Agile development environment
