  • Overview

    Scentsy is on the hunt for a Front End Developer to participate in the client-side of development for our innovative web-based ecommerce applications. This person will take an active role on all interface development and work hand-in-hand with UI/UX designers and backend developers. 

    Responsibilities

    What You Would Do

    • Produce HTML/CSS/JavaScript code from design documentation for integrating into desktop and mobile websites and web applications
    • Develop SEO and performance optimized front-end UI for business and e-commerce websites
    • Participate in design and code reviews, following coding, documentation and design standards

    Qualifications

    What You Should Have

    • BS in Computer Sciences preferred or other related field or equivalent experience
    • 3 – 5 years’ general experience in UI Development
    • Excellent understanding and hands on experience with UI development using assortment of best of breed technologies: 
      • HTML/HTML5, CSS3
      • JavaScript/Ajax/Jquery
      • Responsive Design frameworks (Bootstrap or Foundation)
      • JavaScript MVC frameworks (Angular or Backbone or Ember)
      • Grunt task runner
      • CSS extension languages (LESS or SASS)
    • Ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel
    • Understanding of the Agile/Scrum project management process is helpful
