  • Overview

    We are looking for a natural problem-solver to help maintain our networking environment! As a Network Engineer you would play a critical role in identifying and defining network requirements, deploying and maintaining LAN and WAN infrastructures and security, and monitoring network performance.

     

    This includes the participation/oversight of the daily upkeep and administration of the companies' network infrastructure and computer systems. In addition, you would be heavily involved in the design, planning, implementation and maintenance of the companies' network infrastructure and architecture.

    Responsibilities

     

    Things You Would Do

    • Maximize network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with network architects on network optimization
    • Assist in designing, implementing and supporting a network infrastructure including Cisco routers and switches, as well as best-in-class WAN optimization, wireless controllers, and load-balancers
    • Set up and support VPNs with multiple other networks and ISPs
    • Secure network by establishing and enforcing policies; defining and monitoring access; reviewing, setting and enforcing security policies, standards, and other requirements as they relate to specific internal and externally hosted systems
    • Configure, support, and maintain routers, switches, network appliances, firewalls, concentrators, and other communication devices
    • Provide support for advanced level and on-call support for large variety of networks, systems, and infrastructures.
    • Proficient with the use of packet capture and protocol analysis tools and techniques
    • Evaluate project fit and design, utilizing best practices and vendor comparison techniques to provide customer with best business solutions
    • Deliver escalated, highly complex technical support to customers, internal systems, and others by using effective techniques and methodologies
    • Provide technical assistance and requirements to staff working with the design, installation, and maintenance of systems that support information security related to firewall, application, and URL filtering solutions, audits of IP addressing and hosted devices, and all other aspects of networking within a data center and multi-location environment
    • Executing appropriate software/hardware tools/packages to identify and detect vulnerabilities, needed configuration or patch updates, and unauthorized software or network equipment
    • Performing data network fault investigations in local and wide area environments, using information from multiple sources
    • Perform product evaluations and develop business case proposals

    Qualifications


    Our Ideal Candidate Has

    • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and 4 or more years in network engineering
    • CCNP Certification
    • Strong knowledge of routing and networking protocols; of LAN/WAN systems, networks and applications
    • Familiarity with Wireless evaluation tools and implementation of multiple wireless platforms
    • Top notch configuration and troubleshooting skills of Cisco routers / switches / ASA / concentrators / VoIP
    • In-depth working knowledge of advanced Cisco network design, implementation, support, maintenance, and administration
    • Extensive experience of Cisco VPN configurations, Network Management Systems
